Q. We have booked our wedding through a tour operator. I know that you are able to help us arrange a photographer, can you help us with other extras?
A. Unfortunately no. We operate in a totally different way from either the tour companies or the other wedding companies that have now opened for business in Lindos. Our full clients must take precedence and have priority access to all of our network of suppliers on Rhodes. Also, without a thorough consultation it is very difficult to determine exactly what you may be seeking for your wedding day. In order to have a truly successful and memorable wedding, timing and preparation are of the essence. This starts on the morning of your ceremony and goes through until you are happily seated at your reception venue. If we are unable to help orchestrate your ceremony we are then unable to have any control over timing of subsequent events.
Q. How soon can we book our ceremony time and date?
A. Your ceremony time arrangements can be confirmed almost as soon as you book. Once we receive a completed booking form from you we are normally able to confirm everything within 48 hours. Currently we are accepting bookings up until October 2010.
Q. During a search of the net we found several sites with the words ‘Lindos Weddings’ on them, are they connected with you?
A. Lindosweddings.com is actually our very first website which we launched three years ago now. Although very basic, we have left it active for purely nostalgic reasons. It is the only other website associated with us. Our trading name, “Lindos Weddings’, is registered in both Greece and the UK. Although technically no other company has the legal right to use it, we look on the fact that it is now used by a variety of rival companies in order to increase their web-ranking and traffic as a massive compliment. Thank you all!
Q. How long do we need to be on Rhodes before we can marry?
A. You need to be resident on the island for 5 days prior to your wedding.
Q. Do you have a proven track record and experience when it comes to planning a wedding in Lindos?
A. We have over the past 4 years worked directly with over 250 couples, helping to plan and arrange every aspect of their wedding day, more than any dedicated wedding planning company on the island. Although now often imitated, our level of service and attention to detail really is second to none. Unlike some new companies we are happily able to show you a large number of genuine testimonials from past clients who have very kindly said some very complimentary things about our service. Please visit our testimonials page to see a selection. As an added measure to provide you with complete peace of mind we provide all our clients with a legally binding contract in regard to our responsibilities.
Q. Are you able to help us with our paperwork?
A. We are more than happy to give you all the help and advice necessary for you to be able to collate, authenticate and submit all your required papers. All the procedures necessary will be explained to you in full during your consultation and a comprehensive, step-by-step guide is given to all our UK and EU clients and backed up with telephone and email support. We are also able to help clients from outside the EU obtain the correct paperwork. Email us for further details.
Q. Why is the cost of our paperwork translations NOT included in your package?
A. Every couple are different, as is the number of documents they need to present to the Authorities in Greece. We have always felt it unfair to have couples with only 4,5 or 6 documents having to subsidise other couples who may have more papers to translate and present. When translation costs are added to our ‘Wedding day Package’ fee you’ll find we are still incredibly competitively priced.
Q.Is Lindos Weddings’ a Greek or UK Company?
A. Although owned and operated by a British couple, Lindos Weddings is registered in Greece as a Greek company and subject to Greek law.
Q. Are there any hidden costs ?
A. No! We pride ourselves on offering a “what you see is what you get” pricing scheme. All costs are discussed with your wedding planner and will be included in your final statement, which must be agreed upon with each client before we accept payment. No hidden fees, ever.
